Becky was born and has lived in Salisbury all her life apart from her university days where she studied theatre design and graduated with a BA Hons degree.

 

Her theatrical time has definitely had an influence on her current work which has a vintage circus theme.

 

Becky’s creations are whimsical and playful including anything from frogs to bears and mice. Her illustrations and sculpted pieces come from her imagination and her inspiration can be sparked by nature, animals or the smallest of found objects.

 

Her medium of choice for her artwork is ink, gouache and collaging with vintage paper ephemera. Her sculpted pieces are a mixture of paper clay and her version of spun cotton technique dates back to Victorian period.

Her dreams for the future are to exhibit her work in a solo exhibition with a twist and bringing her illustrations together in a book.
